The end of the week?A piece of cheese, one egg, an onion and some chips are still there?Let's try to make a lunch with those! As often as possible, I'll test and bring you recipes from what's leftover!

I got to work for two days in a bakery! That was nice seeing all this beautiful pains au chocolat, croissants, brioches and nice pastries (note to myself:never work in a bakery for a long time, would become a lot bigger by tasting everything…) Anyway.

At the end of the day, the unsold food has to go in the rubbish, that is the law (I find it quite unfair especially when you think about all the people needing food). So instead of seeing this mess with my own eyes, I choose to take all the leftover buns!

They have dried for 3 days and so that recipe came up to me!

French Pudding(or viennese buns pain perdu cake):

5 or 6 viennese buns from any kind (pain au chocolat, brioche suisse, brioche au beurre, croissant)

50cl of milk

2 eggs

10 grammes of vanilla sugar

30 grammes of white sugar

So, so!Cut all the viennese buns in pieces in a big bowl. In another bowl, mix the milk, the eggs, the sugar and whip it.

Put the milk mix in the buns and mix it all until it becomes kind of homogeneous. Let it all rest for 20 minutes and then bake it in the oven thermostat 8 for 30 minutes(that’s with my old oven, so watch it every 10 minutes to see how it works with your oven ^^)

Get the cake out of the oven and you’ll have a wonderful pastry! You can cover it with english cream or maple syrup if it’s not enough sugary for you.
